Dnodet: Next-Gen Solar Solutions by DanTech

What I Did: Naming & Brand Identity

Long story

          Short

Dnodet is DanTech's solar energy brand. My brief was to build a visual identity that reads as serious engineering rather than generic 'green' — built for Western B2B energy markets, where buyers need to trust the technology first. That meant moving away from the clichés common in the category.

Process

From the competitive audit, I moved into rough grid-based sketches to test structural ideas before touching color or type. To understand how the material itself should feel, I used Weavy to simulate sunlight reflection and surface texture on solar panels — that exploration is what locked in the industrial art direction the identity is built on.

That direction carried into Figma, where I built the design system: a strict set of typography rules around Bomstad Display, a component library, and UI card patterns built specifically to make dense technical data easy to scan at a glance.

Component Library: The same typography and component rules apply across every screen, so new pages can be built quickly without breaking consistency.

Color Strategy: Phthalo Green (#123329) and Crayola Yellow-Green (#B2E67B), checked with AI accessibility tools so the palette stays legible on mobile screens in direct sunlight — a real condition for a solar brand's audience.

Design

The same system carries across the UI designs: typography, color palette, and component library from the brand identity, applied consistently rather than treated as a separate deliverable.

The result reads as clear and consistent as the identity itself — proof that the same system can carry a brand from a logo mark to a full set of B2B interface designs without losing coherence.
